Your unix account is required for the following:
- Email - (Mirapoint
WebMail or IMAP.uow.edu.au)
- Web browsing - (Proxy.uow.edu.au:8080)
- IT Support requests via request tracker
- Unix shell access
- Linux lab access
To apply for a unix account you will need to fill out the following form found at http://www.uow.edu.au/its/userguides/forms/staff.html
Once you have filled out the form it needs to be submitted to ITS where is can be processed. This
generally takes 1-2weeks.
