Outlook Configuration

Configuration based on Microsoft Office XP Professional, or Outlook 2002. Outlook 2003 is configured as part of our standard desktop deployment.

Outlook 2002 Startup

• Click 'Next'

E-mail Upgrade Options

• Choose 'Do not upgrade'
• Click 'Next'

E-mail Accounts

• Choose 'Yes'
• Click 'Next'

Server Types

• Choose IMAP
• Click 'Next'

Internet E-Mail Settings (IMAP)

• User Information
  • Your Name: Your Full Name
  • E-mail Address: userid@uow.edu.au
• Server Information
  • Incoming mail server(IMAP): mirapoint.uow.edu.au
  • Outgoing mail server(SMTP): smtp.uow.edu.au
• Logon Information
  • User Name: userid
  • Password: Your email password
  • Check 'Remember password'. Not recommended for offices with 2 or more staff.
• Click 'Next'

Congratulations!

• Click 'Finish'
  

When composing a new mail message in Microsoft Outlook, when in the 'To:' field use Ctrl+K to search the UOW ldap address book for user email addresses.

Outlook Express Configuration

Not recommended. Not supported.

Webmail Filters

Go to Webmail

Enter you email username and password, then click 'Login'

On the left hand menu select 'Options', then go to 'Message Filters'
